I Have A Hitachi Dvd Camcorder Dz-mv550a Ntsc And I Can’t Figure It Out?
So I’ve had this cam for quite some time, and I’m wanting to start using it, but it has to use the DVD-R camcorder discs in order to record videos, when I use the SD card it only does pictures. So when I record a video with the disc I can’t figure out how to get the video onto my computer. I’ve tried a lot and can’t figure it out. Pleeeease help.
How Fragile Are Hard Drive Camcorders?
Have just bought a JVC hard disc camcorder and have been told that the drives are very fragile. They are apprently rated to survive a “3g” fall and the PC tech I was talking to said that dropping one was all but guaranteed to shatter the drive. Are they really this fragile?
Thanks,

Mini Dv Camcorders?
I’m looking into buying a camcorder and have seem a few people say that the mini DV formats are the best. I just want to ask how I view these through my TV or computer and how easy is it to transfer what I record to my computer and/or a DVD? I don’t have much knowledge of computers and don’t want to do anything “fancy” just record and transfer to my computer and a DVD. Any suggestions as to whether another format would be more suitable are welcome and if anyone has any reccomendations of good makes.
Is There A Rechargeable Battery For The Hitachi Vm-e220a Camcorder That Lasts Way Longer?
my other old battery lasts 1 or 2 min when I record or play videos on it.
What’s The Life Span Of Mini-dv Camcorder Tapes?
I’m trying to learn the differences between mini-DV camcorders and mini-DVD camcorders.
Thanks to some of your answers, I already know that there are concerns that min-DVDs might deteriorate after a couple years. What is the life span of a mini-DV tape? Will it last longer than a mini-DVD?
Thanks.
