How Can I Copy 8mm Camcorder Tapes To Vhs Without The Camcorder?

I no longer have the camcorder for 8mm but I would like to copy the tapes onto VHS or DVD, without having it done professionally
Can anyone help me?

Buy a dazzle or similar device which connects to
a computer. You can connect your camcorder video out to
this device and record all your tapes to a DVD/ CD.
Any computer with a video capture card can also do this.
I copied all my tapes to a usb disk as a backup using a
older version of dazzle usb adapter.
    Thanks.

You can bounce to Ebay and get an 8mm portable or non-portable VCR.
The portables are going pretty cheap…http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll…

you could buy a used camcorder on ebay and a capture card. But then if your tapes are very old they will need to be run thru a TBC to fix the sync and jitter problems.
    $100 Used analog camcorder
    $300 Time Base Corrector (TBC)
    $100 Capture card
If you only have a few tapes, it would be cheaper to send to a professional (like myself). :-) http://www.kozenrufu.com/Jameskan/
