Your camcorder should allow you to directly feed a VCR and there are things you can buy that can allow you to feed from the VCR to a computer, and even some that can compress the video to allow you to get more onto the DVD. I have been getting ready to do this, also. I bought a device a year ago but haven’t had a chance to get set up to do it (and I think the thing got broken a few months ago and am not sure I can repair it myself).
Anyway, here’s some links to a few websites that can tell you all about doing it yourself:http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,216…http://www.pcworld.com/article/125517/ma…http://reviews.cnet.com/4520-11259_7-570…http://www.vhs2dvdwizard.com/convert_vhs…
And here’s one that will do it for you, for a fee, of course:http://www.southtree.com/?gclid=CLeRnoqk…
Well you can do it by stringing together two or more devices including your VCR or analog camcorder, you can convert the analog video to a digital video format for storing, editing, and burning to a DVD with your computer.
